Drain Tile System |
| Inside Drain Tile System
An under the floor drain tile system, also known as the French drain system, is recommended in some basement leak situations. A waterproofing basement floor tile system is a system that solves the problem of moisture that is seeping and coming up through inner floor cracks, around support posts, pipes, chimneys, etc.
|
| The drain tile / French drain is installed along the wall and holes are drilled in the cavities of the blocks, if you have blocks. Also in larger basements the drain tile is installed in runs down the center of the basement. A special edging is installed along the basement wall to capture any seepage or condensation that would come from the wet wall. A particular filter rock is used to filter out the sediments to prevent premature plugging of the French drain system. Also, a non-deteriorating fabric filter product is installed to prevent undermining of the footings. |

Outside Surface Drain Tile System
If your ground level coming to the building is too high for window wells and landscaping to work properly, a decorative rock surface drain tile system may need to be installed to prevent potential water problems in your basement.
|
|
We have done many surface drain tile systems over the years where the building was built too low into the ground or is built into a hill and there is no place for the water to go, just by doing a normal landscape. This surface tile system works very effectively and enhances the look of your property as well. Inexpensive, easy and effective way to control run off water.

| Beware of clay and other heavy soil situations. If the water is unable to drain away from the building properly; it will expand the soil and cause buckling and bowing basement walls. Basement bulging, pushing walls, leaks and flooding can be prevented and save a lot of "green backs". Use the surface drain tile system to give you a secure assurance, help minimize and prevent basement problems. |
